A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):

The local sustainable development sponsors network is made up of representatives from different units (academics and services departments). The network mainly served as a liaison between units and follows up on sustainable development–related operations in the field.

Follow-up meetings are held once a semester to present and explain sustainable development initiatives to network members so they can share what they learn with their peers. Informational emails are also sent out from time to time.
The network meets 3 to 4 times a year to discuss various sustainability projects and suggest innovative solutions for the campus.

Faculty and department heads designate a liaison to work with the employees and management of the administrative unit as well as the university’s Sustainable Development representatives.

Members of the local sustainable development sponsors network receive training during follow-up meetings with the sustainable development team. They also receive financial support through the Sustainable Development Fund. They can apply to the fund to implement SD initiatives within their unit (e.g. awareness campaign, purchase of products to upgrade their equipment and be more energy efficient or reduce waste generation). They also receive administrative support from the University's sustainable development team. Indeed, members can count on them for the implementation of activities for their unit or the community in general (e.g.: help with organization, putting them in touch with stakeholders in other units, help with communication, etc.).
