Does the institution have an ongoing program that offers incentives for academic staff in multiple disciplines or departments to develop new sustainability courses and/or incorporate sustainability into existing courses? :
Yes

A brief description of the incentive program(s):

The university uses its sustainable development fund to help professors enhance course content by incorporating a sustainable development dimension. Financial support was also provided to create training opportunities and provide useful resources such as:

-Development of course DDU-1201 : An introduction to SDGs (given for the first time in Fall2022)
Course description:
The objective of the course is to provide an introduction to the issues and challenges of sustainable development as well as the approaches and possible solutions recognized worldwide in this field. To this end, the course places particular emphasis on the body of knowledge and methods contained in the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda, based on an active pedagogical approach. The course is also based on an integrated and systemic approach that highlights the interrelationships between the different issues and dimensions.

-A directory of numeric educational resources on sustainability (Summer2020).;
-A plan for SDG appropriation for the whole campus community – “How to go from SD to SDGs”. (First activities of this plan was on November 25th 2022 by a workshop with graduate students and research professionals to introduce&assess SDGs within their research projects);


A brief description of the incentives that academic staff who participate in the program(s) receive:

The faculty members who develop sustainability courses have access to financial support from the sustainable development fund. Also, trainings, seminaries and congresses such as those organized by I-EDS (summer school, fall school, annual student congress, and annual forum) represent publishing and networking opportunities.

Also, the vice-rectorate of international affairs and sustainability development do provide support in kind for various SD-related needs from faculties and services.
