A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:

There are two selection committees that manage the funds. The first committee is composed of members of the Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Sustainable Development, the Student Services Office and the Université Laval Foundation. They deal with applications for student projects.

There is a second selection committee that deals with the projects of staff members. It is composed of community members from the Vice-Rectorate of International Affairs and Sustainable Development, the Executive Vice-Rectorate, the Vice-Rectorate of Studies and Student Affairs, the Vice-Rectorate of Research, Creation and Innovation and the Vice-Rectorate of Infrastructure and Transformation.

All projects must meet the following criteria:
- Respect for and relevance to the orientations of the ULaval Institutional Policy on Sustainable Development (PDF).
- Influence on the promotion and strengthening of sustainable development at the University and the number and type of people directly or indirectly affected by the project.
- The project's history, operational feasibility, organizational plan, timeline, sustainability, team of sponsors, sustainability, and long-term impact.
- The faculty, departmental, institutional or external support (partnerships) obtained and a financing plan for the project.
