A brief description of the institution’s participation in an external network of anchor institutions:
In early 2021, Dallas College joined the Higher Education Anchor Mission Initiative (a joint project of the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities and The Democracy Collaborative). Dallas College Campus Presidents serve as the primary liaisons on the Anchor Learning Network Team supported by the Dallas College Division of Advancement and Workforce Development. Dallas College has demonstrated success as an anchor institution of the Dallas Region, establishing sustainable community solutions to help students overcome barriers to success such as the Public Transit DART GoPass Program, Campus Food Pantry Program, and Emergency Aid Fund Program.
