Dallas College has diverse renewable energy technology to supplement some power needs and for demonstration of renewable energy used for education. Renewable Energy Technology includes:
- 122 Solar PV LED Sidewalk Light Poles at the Garland Center, Mountain View Campus, North Lake Campus, and Richland Campus
- 3 Solar PV Picnic Tables for Student Outdoor Seating at Brookhaven Campus
- 2 Ground-mounted Solar PV Arrays at Brookhaven Campus and Eastfield Campus

Dallas College Board of Trustees recently approved the purchase of 100% renewable energy from Gexa Energy. The contract is for Green-e certified RECs and started in June 2021. https://www.dallascollege.edu/news/pages/newsitem.aspx?ArticleId=97
