Dallas College employees, both academic and non-academic, can participate in a variety of sustainability-focused and sustainability-inclusive training and development throughout the year with focused sessions during Conference Day and Professional Development Day.

The majority of trainings are offered during the academic year by the Center for Teaching and Learning, the Office of Sustainability, and in Cornerstone, the online professional development and learning platform.

Dallas College supports sustainability professional development for any employees interested in pursuing opportunities. Support may include funding for the professional development activity. This includes attending sustainability-focused conferences or webinars from organizations like AASHE, Global Council for Science and the Environment, or Environmental Leadership Conference and Energy Summit. Employees can also attend sustainability-inclusive conferences or webinars hosted by professional academic associations like the Association for Professional Accountants, Dallas Business Council for the Arts, and others.
