Dallas College utilizes the Sustainability Indicator Management and Analysis Platform (SIMAP) by the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Institute to completed the GHG emissions inventory.

A brief description of the GHG inventory verification process:

Dallas College collaborated with Dr. Kathleen Klaniecki for a second independent review of the STARS Report, and a first peer review of our greenhouse gas inventory. Dr. Klaniecki is the Sustainability Coordinator for Central Washington University, has a formal education background in Sustainability Science and has previously served as an Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) Climate Corps Fellow specializing in greenhouse gas inventories. Dr. Klaniecki collaborated with Assistant Director of Sustainability Operations Brandon Morton to develop an innovative approach to GHG peer review following the United Nations GHG Peer Review Protocol and adapted it for higher education institutions. Dallas College is also seeking an innovation credit for this approach.

Dallas College utilizes the Sustainability Indicator Management and Analysis Platform (SIMAP) by the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Institute to completed the GHG emissions inventory.

Scope 3 emissions in this credit does not include several areas currently, but the college is seeking to improve data tracking in scope 3 and supply chain management; the 2021 Dallas College Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) Climate Corps Fellow Ms. Celia Ristow completed her report of findings and published her recommendations in August 2021. We will begin implementing her recommendations in 2022.

The following Scope 3 emissions were not included in this report because we don't yet track them:
