The Texas A&M University-Commer​ce Agriculture Aca​​demy at Dallas College offers an affordable way to get the right education and trainin​g for a successful career in agriculture. https://www.dallascollege.edu/cd/partnerships/pages/agriculture-academy.aspx

The sustainability-focused pathway is an Associate of Science to a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. This pathway is specifically for Dallas College students and has a special admissions process.

The goals of the partnership is to meet workforce needs in sustainable agriculture and to support advancement of underrepresented groups in the field of sustainable agriculture. Students accepted into the Ag Academy will complete courses in Dallas together for their freshman, sophomore and junior level undergraduate classes. The final undergraduate senior year of classes are completed online or at the Texas A&M Commerce campus.

Since the first Sustainability Summit in 2011, Dallas College has raised $46,000 in sponsorships that allow us to offer the event to the public at no charge.
In 2020, we began offering Annual Sponsorships, which allowed donors to choose which of our numerous sustainability events to sponsor. This change from offering sponsorships on individual events to an annual program has been very successful. In 2021, we raised $13,000 total.

Shared Air DFW (SADFW) is a voluntary consortium of non-profit organizations, neighborhood organizations, local governments, and schools. Members of the consortium fund, build, and place air quality monitors to establish an air pollution monitoring network to fill gaps not currently being monitored by state and federal air pollution programs. SADFW is co-led by University of Texas at Dallas, Dallas College and Downwinders at Risk, a Dallas-based non-profit organization focused on environmental and public health education. Members also include Paul Quinn College, University of North Texas Health Science Center, Joppa Neighborhood Association, City of Plano, City of Fort Worth, Plano ISD, Richardson ISD, Fort Worth ISD, and Dallas County https://greensourcedfw.org/articles/network-aims-pinpoint-air-pollution-dfw

Dallas College has many community partnerships that help advance sustainability in equity, economy and environment. The enclosed Excel is additional documentation supporting the submission of this credit. An analysis of all institutional partnerships was conducted using the lens of "sustainability-focused" and "sustainability-inclusive" resulting in approximately 14 sustainability-focused community partnerships and 23 sustainability-related partnerships.
