Dallas College offered the Sustainability Internship Program, a part-time paid internship open to all enrolled students in good academic standing from any major. Beginning in 2014, the Sustainability Internship Program offered eleven students experience in daily work-life and triple-bottom-line sustainability and a focus on increasing engagement across diverse communities. Interns work 19.5 hours per week and receive training in sustainability topics, sustainability operations, sustainability education, sustainability outreach, and sustainability administration. Students work in Sustainability, supporting college sustainability priorities for student success, employee success, institutional effectiveness and community engagement.

The total number of hours for this program is based on hours worked by three student interns on tasks directly focused on student education and outreach in a one year period including fall, spring and summer semesters in 2019-20. The internship program budget ended for FY2021-22 and thus will not be posted on the web site.
