Turner Superintendent of Facilities & Security Marion Campus Physical Facilities |
Does the institution have a sustainability plan that meets the criteria for this credit?:
A brief description of how multiple stakeholder groups were involved in developing the plan:
Administration from OSU Marion, Marion Technical College, Marion Physical Facilities, and the Department of Energy Services and Sustainability through a Memorandum of Understanding.
A brief description of the plan’s measurable goals :
Heapy Engineering completed an energy audit of all Marion Campus buildings in 2011 for ASHRAE Level I & II. Starting with baseline year 2004, the primary goal was to reduce total energy consumption (kbtu/SF) by 20% by 2014. The study showed that the campus was within .5% of meeting the 2014 goal in 2011. Energy saving projects from the audit were prioritized and put on a master maintenance plan for replacement and renewal.
A brief description of how progress in meeting the plan’s goals is measured:
The goals will be measured through individual utility meters added in all campus buildings and information stored in Portfolio Manager.
