A brief summary of the climate plan’s long-term goals:

Heapy Engineering completed an energy audit of all Marion Campus buildings in 2011 for ASHRAE Level I & II. Starting with baseline year 2004, the primary goal was to reduce total energy consumption (kbtu/SF) by 20% by 2014. The study showed that the campus was within .5% of meeting the 2014 goal in 2011. Energy saving projects from the audit were prioritized and put on a master maintenance plan for replacement and renewal for the next 15 years.
