A brief description of the institution's stormwater management initiatives:

The Marion Campus utilizes a three acre retention pond in the center of the campus to handle storm water from all buildings, except for the Maintenance/Storage/Receiving Building and parking lots west of Grave Creek. During the construction phase of campus buildings and parking lots on the west side of Grave Creek underground piping was added to carry storm water to the pond. There is an overflow spillway in the pond that is piped to Grave Creek (east of pond) which is part of the Marion County flood plan.
