Does the institution use Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology in at least one lighting application? LED applications in exit signs and remote controls do not count for this credit.:
Yes

A brief description of the technology used:

The Marion campus has several exterior wall and can-type fixtures using LED technology and the Library uses LED in all chandelier light fixtures (32 total led lamps). Currently in 2013 there is a pilot program to test the lighting quality of LED lamps by adding LED fixtures in one parking lot and along a one campus walkway. If the lighting quality is satisfactory all walkways and parking lots will be converted from HID to LED in the next few years. The new walkway to be constructed in 2014 that runs north to south along University Drive through the campus will use all LED fixtures for the lighting source.
