A brief description of the time period from which the figures reported above are drawn (i.e. one-year time period or representative sample):

This information comes from Fiscal Year 2018. M&O provided Green Seal Certified total expenditures for major cleaning products and paper products (all of our paper products are made from 100% recycled materials). Facilities admin staff looked through all other POs (see attachment) and removed janitorial equipment and other non-applicable items from the POs that contained itemized cleaning and other products.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

2019 Update: All Purchase Orders for janitorial were examined for Green Seal or Recycled paper products by Maintenance and Operations Staff. The same POs were examined by Facilities staff for "real" expenditures on cleaning and paper products (all no-applicable removed, such as vacuum/equipment repairs). They also noted as Green Seal hand-washing purchases.

Expenditures on Green Seal and/or UL Environment (EcoLogo) certified cleaning and janitorial products was reported to Molly Blumhoefer by Anthony Rael. It is from fiscal year, 2016.

The total expenditures was reported by Heather Hibbetts to Molly Blumhoefer. It is from Fiscal year 2016.

Total expenditures on Green Cleaning products went down (since last report, 2013-2014) because M&O is now purchasing Green Cleaning Paper Products (TP and PT) from a less expensive company. The rest of the more "general" cleaning product prices continues to increase. This was reported by Anthony Rael to Molly Blumheofer (07/2016).
