A brief description of steps taken to reduce hazardous, universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
Because Rio Salado College does not maintain and laboratories, we generate very little hazardous waste. Each floor of the administration and classroom buildings are equipped with Hazardous Waste Drums, located near copiers, for any copier or printer generated hazardous waste.

The drums are handled by the waste management companies under contract to the College
