A brief description of the graduation pledge program:
Rio Salado College is committed to the principles of sustainability. The college has incorporated sustainability as a core value and has adopted several programs and practices that embrace the sociocultural, environmental, and economic facets of sustainability. Rio Salado College believes in meeting the needs of the present generation while taking care of the future. In May 2011, Rio Salado College incorporated the Graduate Pledge Alliance’s graduation pledge of social and environmental responsibility into graduation as a way to encourage all students to consider sustainability as a core value in their personal lives and future careers.
