The Council on Diversity and Inclusion champions diversity and inclusion initiatives across the college. Rio Salado College’s mission is to implement, catalyze, and share efforts promoting an inclusive environment by providing knowledge, programs, and resources.
Council members, who serve as ambassadors from various departments, locations, policy and constituency groups, assess needs and identify issues and opportunities for inclusion college-wide. The college works to ensure leadership commitment and support as well as ensuring shared accountability, encouraging community engagement, and increasing the visibility of inclusive messaging.
The Council develops strategic partnerships among the college policy and constituency groups, seeks opportunities for collaboration, shares best practices, and builds on existing synergies to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace at Rio Salado College.
