Western Technical College is committed to recognizing the value each student brings to campus. While we share many similarities with one another, we also have our own unique backgrounds, experiences, needs, culture, skills, and stories. We value students' commitment and want to help students thrive and reach their fullest potential at Western.

Equity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement, housed on second floor of the Student Success Center with the Multicultural Center, provides support, coaching, and opportunities for engaging in students' education while at Western.

Western Technical College employees complete diversity training online annually. Additionally, the college provides conferences, events, and book clubs for employees to further their knowledge and understanding of systematic oppression, racism, and social justice. All employees attended Implicit Bias training in April 2019.
Students are invited to participate in co-curricular social justice programming . Through our college community based learning efforts, culture competency training and education are often interwoven.
