A brief description of the institution’s program to support employee volunteering:

Western Technical College recognizes the importance of community involvement and
encourages employees to participate in volunteer service activities that enhance and serve our communities throughout our district. With manager approval, volunteer service leave time is provided, with pay, to all full-time, benefit-eligible employees who participate in service activities that occur during their regularly scheduled work hour. The service activity must take place with a United Way partner agency or through the Department of Community Engagement. Full-time employees are eligible to take a maximum of one full day each fiscal year.
