A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to staff:

Each year we hold "Sustainability Day" with 3 other neighboring universities. Everyone from the 4 institutions and local community is invited and encouraged to attend. One of the closed door events is a luncheon. We provide lunch for representatives from each department (student life, facilities (admin), grounds, dining, etc). We also provide lunch to a trainer. For example, we will have lunch for the 4 directors of the grounds departments and the discussion will be led by a member of the board of the St. Lawrence Land Trust. Meanwhile at the next table the local food coordinator from the Cornell Cooperative Extension is leading a discussion with dining staff from all 4 campuses, etc.

The LEED training used for peer-to-peer education also provided PD for the participants. This traiing is worthy of note on resumes and annual evaluations.
