A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :

Students attending traditional orientation participate in an involvement fair where campus sustainability hosts a table to promote sustainability volunteering efforts, the Living Green residential community, and the sustainable campus fee. Traditional orientation is a 3-hour program as many online-only students, commuters, and adult learners prefer a compressed schedule.
All undergraduate students are offered the opportunity to attend extended orientation, called Camp ROW, during which sustainability is highly integrated into programming. The sustainability coordinator co-teaches a mandatory program on active citizenship which emphasizes environmental issues in the community and how to get involved. The mandatory wellness program also highlights environmental wellness and students are taught to properly recycle on campus through sorting games. An optional tour of campus sustainability features is available to all campers.
