Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Compressed Summer Work Schedule

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

Austin Peay offers a compressed summer work schedule for staff to allow 4 day work weeks when class is not in session or work-from-home two days per week. 40 employees signed up for the voluntary program in 2021, saving 240 commutes to and from campus. While we don't currently track commuting we are confident that this program reduces vehicle traffic and therefore emissions. Additionally, it contributes to a positive workplace environment by allowing three-day weekends for summer activities.
