Does the institution have an ongoing program that offers incentives for academic staff in multiple disciplines or departments to develop new sustainability courses and/or incorporate sustainability into existing courses? :
Yes

A brief description of the incentive program(s):

Austin Peay collects a $10 sustainable campus fee from each student every semester. Faculty from any discipline can request funding from this program to support projects, feasibility studies or research with significant student involvement. Requests for funding are then vetted by the Sustainable Campus Fee Committee. This program aims to increase student engagement with sustainability projects and research in the classroom by supporting the costs of such initiatives. To increase participation in this program for the '21-'22 academic year, the Sustainability Coordinator is hosting a pre-semester faculty presentation on fee requests and course integration.

A brief description of the incentives that academic staff who participate in the program(s) receive:

In the past three years, this program has funded the planting of a native pollinator meadow on campus and the accreditation of the APSU arboretum. These efforts have allowed biology professors to utilize the campus for plant identification among other efforts. To increase utilization of these funds the Sustainability Coordinator has partnered with two business professors to demonstrate applicability across disciplines during the pre-semester faculty education programming.
