Does the institution have a committee on investor responsibility or similar body that meets the criteria for this credit?:
No

The charter or mission statement of the CIR or other body or a brief description of how the CIR is tasked to address social and environmental concerns :

Washington and Lee University, like many small schools, has most of its endowment managed externally. Small schools usually do not have the resources to hire a full investment management staff, which explains the tendency to hire external managers. Seventy-five percent of the endowment is managed by a firm called Makena. The remaining 25 percent is managed by other private managers, and the Board of Trustees has more control over these investments. However, there is no active committee on socially or environmentally responsible investment at this time. The Trustees have simply not deemed it to be a priority. They believe the market will eventually gravitate towards such investments, at which point it will become a priority for the university.
