Total energy consumption, performance year:
Clean and renewable electricity (report kilowatt-hours):
kWh | MMBtu | |
Imported electricity from certified/verified clean and renewable sources (i.e., bundled green power purchases) | 0 Kilowatt-hours | 0 MMBtu |
Electricity from on-site, clean and renewable sources (rights retained/retired) | 232,122 Kilowatt-hours | 792.00 MMBtu |
A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable electricity:
The UW has on-site solar photovoltaic installations on nine buildings on campus: Elm Hall, Alder Hall, Maple Hall, Mercer Hall, Life Sciences, Power Plant, Mechanical Engineering, IMA, and Merrill Hall.
A brief description of the on-site renewable electricity generating facilities/devices:
UW Seattle's five on-site solar photovoltaic installations generate electricity at the following locations:
1. Alder Hall - 40 kW
2. Mercer Court A - 34 kW
3. IMA - 64.4 kW
4. Elm Hall - 20 kW
5. Maple Hall - 40 kW
6. Life Sciences - 105 kW
7. UW Center for Urban Horticulture-Merrill Hall - 9.6 kW
8. Power Plant - 10 kW
9. UW Mechanical Engineering Building - 2.6 kW
Clean and renewable thermal energy (report MMBtu):
MMBtu | |
Clean and renewable stationary fuels used on-site to generate thermal energy | 0 MMBtu |
Imported steam, hot water, and/or chilled water from certified/verified clean and renewable sources | 0 MMBtu |
A brief description of the clean and renewable stationary fuels:
None.
A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable thermal energy:
Unbundled renewable energy products (report kWh):
kWh | MMBtu | |
Purchased RECs, GOs, I-RECs or equivalent unbundled renewable energy products certified by a third party | 0 Kilowatt-hours | 0 MMBtu |
A brief description of the unbundled renewable energy products:
(NOTE: Participating in the Green Up program does not impact the UW's GHG accounting because all SCL delivered power is carbon-neutral. Any GHGs produced by non-hydro sources are offset by SCL, irrespective of the Green Up program.)
Total clean and renewable energy generated or purchased:
Percentage of total energy consumption from clean and renewable sources:
