The Husky Promise program guarantees full tuition and standard fees will be covered by grant or scholarship support for eligible, low-income, Washington resident students. Students do not repay this assistance and as tuition increases, so do the grants and scholarships. In general, the Husky Promise is available to UW students at all three campuses – Bothell, Seattle and Tacoma – who are Washington state residents and meet the eligibility criteria for the Pell Grant. Undocumented Washington residents can be eligible for the Husky Promise even if not receiving a Pell Grant.
A brief description of notable policies or programs to support non-traditional students:
The Women's Center and the Office of Minority Affairs both serve both non-traditional and traditional students. They extend educational outreach and opportunities to many who would not otherwise have access to scholarship, research, and public service. http://depts.washington.edu/womenctr/about-us/
