Hope conducted a campus wide climate survey in 2010. This survey served to evaluate the climate at Hope as it relates to the experiences of students, faculty and staff of color; and to use the information gathered to create a more welcoming, inclusive and equitable campus community.

A brief description of how the results of the assessment(s) are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:
The results were shared at faculty meetings and the pre-college conference, as well as utilized in diversity training workshops for various departments across campus. Additionally, the survey committee has met with senior leaders to discuss findings and make recommendations on ways to improve the experiences and outcomes for diverse constituents.
