A brief description of the employee wellness program, policy, or practice:

A business or organization is in a unique and responsible position to effectively enhance the wellbeing of its employees. Hope College’s employee wellness program, Hope’s Healthy Options, is driven by the collective desire to be good stewards not only of our physical bodies but also our healthcare dollars. We believe healthy people lead fuller and more productive lives. We desire that our employees feel that their association with Hope College contributes to their health and wellbeing – physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.

The focus of the employee wellness program, Hope’s Healthy Options or H2O, is to:
• Increase Awareness,
• Enhance Motivation,
• Build Skills, and
• Create Supportive Environments.

Hope’s Healthy Options provides online behavior tracking, onsite fitness and relaxation classes, seminars, team and individual incentive challenges, biometric assessments, and education that enables employees to be wise healthcare consumers. Hope’s Healthy Options is intentional about developing a culture that encourages healthy behaviors and provides optimal avenues for wellness engagement throughout the day.
