The College of Lake County is proud to be a founding member of the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN; formerly the Illinois Community College Sustainability Network). IGEN is a comprehensive collaboration between all forty-eight community colleges in the State of Illinois. An initiative established by the community college presidents, this network brings community colleges together to expand employment opportunities, improve human and environmental health, foster community engagement and accelerate market competitiveness to drive Illinois’ emerging green economy.
