A brief description of how the institution ensures that its lowest-paid workers (including contractors, if applicable) receive sustainable compensation:

The College has conducted an institution-wide Compensation Study beginning in Spring 2009. This study consists of an external contractor preforming a survey of all employees to determine standardized job titles and descriptions. As a result, agreed upon position compensations were then compared with equivalent positions throughout the region to ensure fair and equitable wages.

A Salary and Benefits committee also asks the Board of Trustees to annually raise compensation based on cost of living data and information from the Illinois Community College Board.

In addition, all faculty and facilities staff receive union compensation and benefits.

The most recent year total compensation for the institution’s lowest-paid workers (including contractors, if applicable) was evaluated to ensure that it was sustainable:
2,010
