Does the institution make cultural competence trainings and activities available to all employees?:
Yes

A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:

All new employees take a session called, Valuing Diversity, through our Professional Development Center.

Valuing Diversity Session Description:
Today’s workforce is increasingly diverse. People are different because of race, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic status, age, sexual orientation, disabilities, and a multitude of other factors that produce this tapestry of our society. Understanding these differences and how they relate to the values we individually bring to work each day is paramount in creating a caring environment at CLC. New employees will explore value differences and develop an understanding as to how they impact our ability to work together. They will gain practical knowledge with supporting communication skills that promote a work environment that is healthy, happy, and productive – a value we all have in common.
