A brief description of the snow and ice removal program, policy, or practice:
The Bellevue College facility operations department uses a product called Ice Melt for snow and ice removal. The department practices responsible application of this product through the following:
-teaching employees proper application techniques, providing employees with gloves and encouraging scattering of the product for even dispersement rather than dumping in concentrated areas
-strategic applications in areas of high use and safety concerns
-only using as much as needed
