A brief description of the institution's stormwater management initiatives:
Bellevue College is prioritizing sustainable design for its new satellite, East Campus. This includes strategies to reduce stormwater runoff such as on-site water storage in pools and cisterns and directing excess rainwater to wetlands and/or to manmade streams, ponds and swales. In the past we have installed stormwater management mechanisms on the main campus, including bioswales.
