The Pluralism Steering Committe is tasked with providing oversight for and coordination among the Employee Pluralism Committee, the Student Pluralism Committee, and the Instructional Pluralism Committee; communicating issues, concerns, and suggestions identified by the committees, Diversity Caucus, and the Pluralism Advisory Board to the appropriate committee or administrative unit; ensuring communication of the activities of the Pluralism committees throughout the campus."

The Office of Equity and Pluralism is committed to advancing diversity and pluralism at the college among its employees and students, in order to promote student achievement.
This entails working to eliminate discrimination and to advance equal access in all opportunities, programs, and facilities; providing ongoing education and training in cultural competence;
supporting classroom instruction that encourages academic success for all students.

The Chief Diversity Officer provides leadership in the development, coordination and implementation of programs that promote equity and pluralism at Bellevue College (BC). As a member of President's Staff, the Vice President provides guidance, advice, counsel, and support to the President, Vice Presidents and Deans responsible for managing college unit and department work in support of equity and pluralism.
Areas of focus include: student and employee recruitment and retention, student success, professional development, academic curriculum diversity, and college climate. The Vice President reports to the College President and is a member of President's Staff. In addition, the Vice President guides the work of the college's pluralism committees and manages the pluralism budget.
