Each department seeks to minimize its use of hazardous and other non-regulated chemical waste to the best of its abilities.


A brief description of how the institution safely disposes of hazardous, universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:

Bellevue College deals with hazardous waste as follows:

-All hazardous and chemical waste generated by the science division is collected by the hazardous waste disposal company Clean Harbors.

-Bulbs are taken by Eco-lights.

-Batteries are collected for recycling and disposal by Total Reclaim.

-Sharp "needles" used in the radiology programs are collected by Steriycle for proper disposal.
