Ontario Tech U has an Office of Infrastructure and Sustainability. The office helps ensure the university has sustainable policies, programs, initiatives and infrastructure.

Ontario Tech U has a Asset and Sustainability planner. Activities include creating on and off campus sustainability initiatives (energy related projects include LED retrofits, window film installation and thermal storage improvements), documenting and reporting on greenhouse gas emissions, waste management, creating sustainability strategies and asset management while providing free water bottles and implementing and recycling and waste awareness programs). The role also entails actively building community partnerships, overseeing the student-Blue Team and Chairing the Ontario Tech U Sustainability Committee.
