Humber has implemented a process for the proper disposal of hazardous waste as per the Environmental Protection Act and the General – Waste Management Regulation (Reg. 347). Individual schools and departments provide a list of materials they would like to have disposed to the Health and Safety Co-ordinator who then arranges disposal with a company that has the appropriate Certificates of Approval to transport and receive the hazardous waste.
