The mandate of the Sustainability Coordinating Committee is to:
- Coordinate the college's efforts to increase environmental literacy of students, faculty and staff
- Make campus operations at Humber more sustainable
- Create a culture of sustainability at Humber
- Provide prioritized recommendations on such matters to the Vice-Presidents
- Work with various stakeholders to implement approved projects
- Track and publish successes using defined metrics
- Communicate the work of the sustainability committee to the Humber community and beyond.

A brief description of the sustainability coordinator’s position:

The Sustainability Manager position oversees and administers the collection of all institutional data related to sustainability initiatives, and proposes, develops and implements College sustainability projects. Another key role is managing all communication (internally and externally) related to sustainability at the college.
