Does the institution offer housing options to accomodate the special needs of transgender and transitioning students (either as a matter of policy or as standard practice)?:
A brief description of the program, policy, or practice:
A Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) student group has been operating on the University of Arkansas campus for 25 years. For students who identify as transgender or are transitioning and they are seeking on-campus housing, the student should contact the Associate Director for Administrative Services. That staff member will work with the student about their on-campus housing options. Housing addresses each situation on a case-by-case basis so that the student's needs can be individually addressed.
