A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:

The University of Arkansas employs basic indoor air quality monitoring practices.
The Environmental Compliance Shop removes any asbestos found during construction.
The University of Arkansas employs basic indoor air quality monitoring practices.  Mold, mildew and other indoor air pollutants are assessed by Environmental Health and Safety and mitigated by Facilities Management.  Facilities Management strives to keep all buildings clean and dry. EH&S responds to all complaints by first conducting a walk through inspection.  If warranted, air samples are taken and VOC levels assessed.  Corrective action is promptly taken by appropriate building management personnel, based on recommendations made by EH&S.  Moisture incursion is corrected and  wet materials are cleaned and dried or else replaced.  Any visible mold is removed.  Custodial and maintenance personnel are instructed to look for mold and water during rounds.  Building occupants can report complaints to their Building Executive or may call or email EH&S directly.
