A brief description of the event(s):

In Spring 2013 a series of speakers was held at the University of Arkansas within the Earth Month to discuss preserving resources, protecting the environment and planning for a sustainable future. Dartmouth professor Lee Lynd, an internationally known expert in sustainable fuel production, Marcus Eriksen, a scientist, activist, adventurer and author, and Thomas Hylton, a Pulitizer Prize winner, spoke about sustainability and environmental issues.

Other events include World Water "Thirstday" where water related businesses in the community are set up fair-style in the Arkansas Union and distribute information to students; Sustainability Vendor Fair where local, sustainable businesses introduce students to their products.
