UAF is part of AASHE; the UAF Office of Sustainability contributes to the newsletter associated with AASHE to detail what UAF has been doing and how.
UAF also presented in a summer 2011 AASHE webinar, sharing with campuses across the nation information about the STARS course developed at UAF.

Western Sustainable Agriculture --In 1988 Congress established SARE (Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education) to promote ecologically sound agricultural practices, sustain rural communities, and to address the disappearance of the diverse family farm.
