The Director of Human Resources is responsible for diversity and equity at KCC. KCC had a separate Diversity Committee last year which is currently merged into the Higher Learning Commission Committee since diversity is a priority for accreditation,

A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:

College-wide cultural training and activities are held regularly throughout the school year and are open to students, faculty, and staff. KCC celebrates a cultural heritage month, regular cultural events for students, but all are free to attend. The college also supports a number of student clubs promoting cultural awareness and acceptance including: Gay Straight Alliance, Brother 2 Brother, Catholic Student Alliance, and Sister Circle
