Does the institution's GHG emissions inventory include Scope 3 emissions from other categories?:
No

A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:

The Dean for Environmental and Institutional Sustainability in collaboration with other administrators, faculty, staff and students complete the Cool Air, Clean Planet calculator for GHGs.

Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
Yes

A brief description of the internal and/or external verification process:

The Dean for Environmental and Institutional Sustainability with the Director of Facilities verify the data to the best of their abilities through collaboration with facilities and business office staff. The GHG emissions inventory is submitted to ACUPCC as well..

A brief description of the composting and carbon storage program:

N/A

A brief description of the purchased carbon offsets, including third party verifier(s) and contract timeframes:

We purchase RECs through our electric utility provider. In the base year there were no RECs purchased. In our current contract, we purchase electricity with 15% offset with RECs.

Baseline Year July 1, 2008 June 30, 2009

A brief description of when and why the GHG emissions baseline was adopted:

While not prior to 2005, the baseline date is 2008 around the time our college hired a Dean for Environmental and institutional Sustainability, and a Sustainability Coordinator, and began to implement our ACUPCC commitments.
