A brief description of the institution’s sustainability projects fund:

The purpose of the Green Hill Fund's Sustainable Community Grants Program is to provide funding to implement innovative projects and ideas that enhance sustainability at Denison. It is made possible through the Green Hill Revolving Loan Fund and the John R. Hunting Environmental Venture Fund.

Selection Criteria
A project or idea does not necessarily need to fulfill all of the listed criteria; however, the following components will be considered in the selection process.
• Potential cost savings, return on investment and/or measurable benefit to the campus community through education and/or promotion of environmental sustainability
• Availability of grant funds
• Innovation
• Overall feasibility of the project/idea
• Positive impact on the broader campus community
• Potential to connect with coursework or research
• If applicable, willingness of nominator(s) to lead or be involved in the implementation of the project/idea.

Applications are reviewed by the Sustainability Director and the Director of Facilities and recommended projects go before the Campus Sustainability Committee for final approval.
