A brief description of the assessment process and the framework, scorecard(s) and/or tool(s) used:

A campus-wide equity census was undertaken and completed in 2017. The University's applicant tracking system provides opportunities for equity group members to self declare at time of application.

Guarding Minds survey has also been administered. Guarding Minds assesses 13 psychosocial factors known to have a powerful impact on organizational health and the health of individual employees,

The Employment Systems review will be completed in the fall of 2018. Canada Research Chair has required the development of an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Plan specifically for future CRC hiring processes. That has been developed and implemented.

University has an Accessibility for Manitoban's Act feedback form on website.

Equity data from census is being used to identify equity, diversity and inclusion targets.

Guarding Minds survey is informing updates to the University's Respectful Working and Learning Environment Policy, and the development of a mental health strategy.

A set of targets has been established for the Canada Research Chair program. Targets are in the process of being developed for the University.

HR held an EDI workshop to share the results of the Employment Equity survey with the campus community. The employee equity census results are posted online on the UW HR website.
