Kyle MacDonald, the Executive Director of Facilities, presented the University's work towards a carbon-neutral campus for the the Manitoba chapter of the Canada Green Building Council's Zero Carbon Summit on November 8, 2018.

The Campus Sustainability Office has been working with the neighboring business Investor's Group to make recommendations for improved waste diversion. We have provided students to conduct three waste audits, performed data analysis, and submitted reports on their continued efforts.

The Campus Sustainability Office is actively working with sustainability professionals from other higher education institutions to create a campus sustainability community of practice (monthly meetings since August 2018). Our first collaboration will be a student sustainability gathering on the last night of the 2019 Grass Routes Festival.
