Under the provisions of the State Office of Risk Management (SORM) Workers’ Compensation program, each state agency is required to establish policies and procedures for the prevention of accidents, the enhancement of safety programs, and the processing of compensation claims. Reportable Incident, Injury, or Illness – any incident, injury, or illness involving a university employee that occurred as a result of university employment. An incident occurs when there is no physical or visible injury at the time but may become an injury at a later date.
