Lane Community College's Institute for Sustainable Practices provides sustainability trainings at least once a year available to all academic and non-academic staff during mandatory all staff conferences held every spring and every fall.

Classified Professional Development (CPD) funds are available every year to help eligible classified employees pay for professional development opportunities that benefit both the College and the employee. Each fiscal year, classified staff can request reimbursement for professional development activities. These trainings reimbursements have included sustainability workshops and conferences in recent years.
