A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :

Office for a sustainable campus of Hokkaido University hosted the International Symposium on creation of sustainable campus 2011 and 2012. Researchers and staffs of sustainable campus office from various universities in the US and Europe were invited to discuss our university's action programs and our original evaluation system for sustainable campus.
The evaluation system is still under the discussion, but action programs named Action Plan for Sustainable Campus 2012 were already approveed by board of exectives in March, 2012.
Action Plan for Sustainable Campus 2012 is one of the best two achievements of our university toward sustainablitiy. Another achievement is Campus Master Plan 2006, which was the first case of collective planning for university campus in Japan.
